Cognitive Rehabilitation

The goal of CRT or Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy is to help people with brain injury, dementia, and other cognitive impairments learn compensatory strategies so that he or she may be as functional and independent as possible.

What to Expect

• An Evaluation (plan approximately 2 hours)
• Individualized plan of treatment
• Home practice
• Family education on patient’s communication or cognitive status
• Referrals will be accepted based on availability.

What You Should Do

• Obtain a referral
• Call for an appointment
• Bring your medication list and diagnosis.
• Dress comfortably
• Plan on approximately 2 hours for the evaluation
• Be prepared to try various methods.
• Follow up with home practice.
